Meet the Candidates – May 4 CISD School Board Election

The Southlake Chamber of Commerce will host a Candidate Forum for Carroll ISD Board of Trustees Place 6 and Place 7 on Tuesday, April 9, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Southlake Town Hall in the City Council Chambers, located at 1400 Main Street.

This event will give the public an opportunity to meet and hear directly from the candidates for both Place 6 and Place 7 of the CISD Board of Trustees. Todd Carlton is running unopposed for Place 6. Dave Almand and Kandice Kapinos are running for the Place 7 seat on the Board. Frank Bliss will serve as moderator for this discussion.

Southlake and Carroll ISD citizens wishing to vote in the May 4 election will need to be sure and get registered by this Thursday, April 4. Registration information is available at VoteTexas.gov.

Early voting for this election will take place from April 22- April 30. You can vote at any location in your county during early voting but must vote at your designated precinct on election day. Those locations are:

Voters who are interested in Mail-In Ballots can contact the Denton County or Tarrant County election administrations to request your mail-in ballot. You can only request a mail-in ballot if you will be away from your county on Election Day and during early voting, are sick or disabled, 65 years of age or older on Election Day or are confined in jail. All ballots must be mailed in by April 19, the County must receive the application by April 23.
