During the July 22 Carroll ISD School Board Meeting, Superintendent Dr. David Faltys introduced Mrs. Renee James and Mr. James Jones as the new Assistant Principals at Carroll High School and Carroll Middle School, respectively.
Renee James earned her Bachelor of Arts from the Loyola Marymount University and her Master of Science degree in Education Administration from Trinity University. She is currently transitioning from Maryland to Texas with her family. She has served a variety of Maryland campuses for the past 22 years as a teacher and Assistant Principal and also worked for the Maryland State Department of Education. James’ leadership experiences include Assistant Principal in Gaithersburg, Maryland and Chevy Chase, Maryland, School Performance & Title 1 Specialist, for the Maryland Department of Education. James also created and led the school improvement plans in multiple schools.
Mr. James Jones has been an educator for 18 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University (major in Kinesiology and minor in History) and his Master of Arts in Education degree (Curriculum and Instruction) from the University of Phoenix. Jones has taught students at all levels – elementary, middle school, and high school, with the majority of his years in the classroom, spent teaching Economics, US History, Government, and Sociology. In addition to his master instruction in the classroom and leadership roles in his department, Mr. Jones also coached sports in various districts, including Fort Worth ISD and Keller ISD. Mr. Jones has served as an Assistant Principal at Lake Worth High School for the past two years.
