The Carroll School Board invites interested parents and taxpayers to volunteer their time and expertise on several Board Advisory Committees, including the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), the District Advisory Committee, Campus Site-Based Decision-Making Committees and more.
Completed applications must be returned to the Superintendent’s Office, 2400 N. Carroll Avenue, by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 13. Submitting an application does not necessarily guarantee participation on a committee. Members of the SHAC must be accepted and voted into their positions by the Carroll School Board. The membership of some committees, like the District Advisory Committee and Campus Site-Based Committees, must comply with state law.
New this year is the opportunity to serve on a Campus Diversity Council. The District Diversity Council (DDC) is already set for the 2019-2020 school year, but campus level opportunities are still available at every Carroll ISD campus.
In addition to the committees mentioned above, the Board also operates an Audit Committee and a Budget & Finance Committee.
