Carroll Pink Out Game to be Held October 11

The 11th annual Dragon Pink Out Game will be held on Friday, October 11, when the Carroll Dragons take on Byron Nelson at 7 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. Pink Out is an event that was started by former CISD student Amy Moan, and continues today as a favorite tradition in Carroll ISD. Pink Out in Carroll ISD is focused on honoring our breast cancer survivors and raising funds and awareness to fight breast cancer.

Carroll ISD is auctioning off the chance to watch the Pink Out Game from the Community Box in the Dragon Press Box. The winner and 14 of their friends will watch the Pink Out Carroll vs. Byron Nelson on October 11 in the comfort of the air-conditioned suite and enjoy a catered dinner. The auction will open for bids on Tuesday, October 1 and will close on Monday, October 7 at 11:45 p.m. The winner will be notified on Tuesday, October 8. Proceeds from the auction go directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Prior to kickoff at the Pink Out Game, there will be an on-field recognition for breast cancer survivors. Survivors from all branches of the Dragon community are invited to attend and be recognized on the field, along with receiving a free pink survivor t-shirt for the event. If you are a breast cancer survivor interested in participating, please fill out this form.

Survivors who are participating in the pregame celebration will also receive a free reserved parking pass for the evening and premier parking at Dragon Stadium, as well as free admission to the game.

Carroll ISD will raise money during Pink Out month by offering employees the chance to wear jeans with pink shirts every Thursday during the month of October. The funds raised from Dragon employees at all campuses and offices will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the largest breast cancer organization in the united States. Additionally, a “Pass-the-Bucket” donation will be taken at the October 11 Pink Out game to even further the Susan G. Komen donation on behalf of CISD.
