Lady Dragon Volleyball Take Care of Business; Move into Three Way Tie for First

District 6-5A is known to be one of the toughest 6A districts in the state and the action over the last few weeks has proven that true yet again. After a tough loss a few weeks ago to Byron Nelson, the Lady Dragons have been playing their best volleyball of the season and have positioned themselves favorably for the final stretch of the regular season.

With consecutive victories over Keller, Timber Creek, and Fossil Ridge, the Lady Dragons looked to keep stacking wins this week. Keller Central traveled to Carroll Senior High on Tuesday night and the Dragons took care of business in impressive fashion. The three sets to none victory was fueled by the continued stellar play of Senior Annabelle Smith who had 11 kills on the night. Junior Keagan Polk helped the Lady Dragons with 32 digs and a couple of aces from the service line as well.

The Lady Dragons move to 25-8 on the year and 5-1 in District with eight games to play.

The Lady Dragons find themselves in a 3-way tie for first place heading into Friday’s huge matchup at Dention Guyer thanks to Keller defeating Byron Nelson this week.
