Safely Reopening The Marq Southlake

As we’ve started to transition into more familiar routines, the City of Southlake has taken steps to safely restore our services, programs and meetings in accordance with State of Texas guidelines.

We’re excited to announce that next on the list is the reopening of The Marq Southlake. Following Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order on recreation and exercise facilities, waterparks and event venues, The Marq Southlake will open in accordance with the maximum 25% capacity guidelines.

The Community Services department has continued to take steps to safely restore parks and recreation-related services and programs. The next big step is the reopening of Champions Club on Saturday, May 30, at 9 a.m. and Legends Hall on Monday, June 1 at 9 a.m.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in a safe environment and encourage everyone to abide by state regulations. We also ask that you be patient as we work through required protocols and protective measures to ensure your safety. The City is very excited to be able to deliver state-of-the-art recreation programs and services once again!

Champions Club

Our staff has worked diligently to open the facility with as many amenities open as allowed under the Governor’s current guidelines. We are happy to announce that the majority of the facility’s amenities will be available for member use. Champions Club components that will remain closed include the locker room showers and lockers, spray pad, interactive pool amenities and the indoor playground.

Operating hours will be modified and include a mid-day closure Monday-Friday for cleaning and sanitization to make sure our customers are protected and safe.

New Hours

  • Monday – Friday: 5 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Mid-day closure, Monday – Friday: 1 – 3 p.m.

  • Saturday: 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

When members visit for the first time, they will notice several measures in place to ensure member and employee safety. Upon arrival, there will be designated entry and exits to the building and a guided path to the front desk. Sneeze guards have been installed at all customer service desks. The seating area has also been modified to accommodate physical distancing guidelines and coffee services have been eliminated. The Child Watch area has been expanded to provide separate spaces for children 4 years old and younger and children 5 years old and older.

The fitness floor and aquatic center have been modified to accommodate physical distancing and capacity requirements. In addition, the number of group fitness classes has been reduced.

In an effort to protect our older and more vulnerable citizens, all Senior Activity Center programming has been canceled. Staff has been trained on new policies and procedures and will engage in enhanced cleaning and disinfection practices so that we can open safely and in the best interest of seniors when the time is right.

Legends Hall

New protocols are in place to ensure the safety of staff and potential clients during facility tours. Virtual tours are also available. Event layouts will be modified to abide by current physical distancing guidelines. As with Champions Club, additional cleaning and sanitization practices have been enacted.

The Senior Activity Center located inside Legends Hall will remain closed until we can safely open for our senior citizens.
