Southlake Fire Department Sent Personnel to Assist with Hurricane Laura

The Southlake Fire Department has sent multiple personnel to the Texas coast to assist with the evacuation, urban search and rescue, and re-population efforts related to Hurricane Laura.

Lieutenant/Paramedic Ricky Davis and Firefighter/Paramedic Nic Miles responded with the North Central Texas Emergency Medical Task Force (EMTF) to assist with evacuation efforts and provide medical care prior to the storm making landfall.

Lieutenant/Paramedic Frank Molinets deployed with Texas Task Force One (Urban Search and Rescue Team) to support potential rescue and damage assessment efforts once the storm made landfall.  Lieutenant Bryan Thomas and Firefighter/Paramedic Jon Casey have also responded with the Emergency Medical Task Force (EMTF) to assist with re-population efforts and provide medical care after the storm had run its course.

The crews have returned at various points over the last week, and all personnel is expected to have returned by September 3rd.

“We greatly appreciate our personnel for going above and beyond the call of duty to travel across the state and assist other Texas citizens in their time of need,” Chief Hall said.
