Remembering Former CISD Trustee Bradley Taylor

Our Dragon family is heartbroken to learn of the sudden death of former School Board Trustee Bradley Taylor. Bradley served the students, staff, and community of Carroll ISD from 2014 through 2020, and is a devoted dad, friend, and community volunteer.

Bradley had a huge heart for students and you could see it in his smile when he visited campuses or met students at Board meetings. He knew how to have fun, and brought a passion and enthusiasm to his role on the Board. He truly had a heart for making a difference in the lives of others.

In a farewell video, as he left the Board just last May, CISD Trustees, staff and students thanked him personally for his dedication to the district, for his commitment to putting students first, and for being a champion for Carroll ISD. He shared his master grilling skills with us many times and was an avid supporter of the Carroll Education Foundation. Bradley ended most CISD Board meetings with an enthusiastic motion to adjourn and was a supportive and caring friend to all.

Our CISD staff has been working with Bradley’s family and friends to provide support to his beloved daughters Berklie, a sophomore, and Brielie, a seventh-grader. His girls were truly the focus and light of his life. Everyone knew how proud he was of his girls, how much he enjoyed being their dad, and how important it was to Bradley to support the teachers, staff, and administrators in Carroll ISD. He considered it an honor to be a part of the Dragon family and spread that positivity with everyone he met.

After just six short years on the School Board, Bradley leaves a lasting legacy of love and service to the greater Southlake community. Carroll ISD will soon be sharing more information on memorial services and ways the community can support his girls.
