Representatives from TESPA and Region 11 were joined by the fourth-grade class at Old Union today to celebrate OUES Assistant Principal, Reigan O’Quinn. O’Quinn was selected as the Region 11’s Assistant Principal of the Year.
Each TEPSA region may recognize one Region Assistant Principal of the Year. To be eligible to apply, each applicant must be in his/her second year (minimum) as a TEPSA member. Applicant must also be an active assistant principal holding a lifetime mid-management, standard mid-management or standard principal certificate.
O’Quinn is in her third year serving the Old Union students and staff. Before joining the OUES staff, O’Quinn spent time as a classroom teacher, counselor, and many other roles. Principal Jon Fike knows how valuable those experiences are to the campus.
“Reigan has spent time in numerous roles throughout the district and each of those roles has prepared her to be an essential part of our team here at Old Union,” Fike said. “Reigan O’Quinn is a special person who works hard to make sure our Old Union Dragons have a great experience. every day.”
Region Assistant Principals of the Year are eligible to become the Texas representative for the National Assistant Principal Of The Year Award.
