District Launches Remote Learning Survey April 7

As part of the district’s ongoing review of remote learning and the Dragon Virtual Academy during the 2020-2021 school year, Carroll ISD has partnered with a third-party survey company, K12 Insight, to conduct a survey of parents, instructional staff, and students in grades 7-12.

The survey is completely voluntary and completely anonymous. It will launch on Wednesday of this week (April 7) and remain open until just before midnight on April 16. The survey will assess both the successes and challenges of remote learning and ways to improve the student learning experience if CISD finds itself in a continued pandemic situation when school starts this fall.

Parents will notice a question at the end of the survey about the interest level in a true online Dragon Virtual Academy sometime in the future. CISD does not intend to offer such an academy during the 2021-2022 school year, but the level of interest in a future academy similar to iPrep University in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD will help the district determine if Dr. Lane Ledbetter will appoint an instructional task force to study and grow the remote learning platform to offer an online curriculum to Dragons in the future.

The survey link will be emailed directly to all parents/guardians for each student PK-12.
