Apex Arts League and Avant Chamber Ballet presents “Carnival of the Animals”

Apex Arts League and Avant Chamber Ballet present a free dance performance with live music May 9 at 2 p.m. at the Aria Amphitheater at The Marq, Southlake. The show is family-friendly and welcomes all ages!

The performance will include Camille Saint-Saens’ “Carnival of the Animals” plus classical ballet excerpts from Flower Festival in Genzano, Sleeping Beauty and Harlequinade.

Pianist Mikhail Berestnev will accompany the dancers from Avant Chamber Ballet Trainees, ACB’s second company.

“This performance is a perfect one-hour show to introduce young people to ballet and live performing art,” says ACB artistic director Katie Puder. “We are thrilled to be back in Southlake again and performing outdoors in a safe venue!”

The performance is presented by Apex Arts League and made possible by the City of Southlake, Fichtenbaum Charitable Trust and Texas Commission on the Arts.
