Carroll Senior High School is excited to host Graduation for the Class of 2021 at Dragon Stadium on Friday, May 28, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will not be required for Graduation this year, and both the home and visitor sides of Dragon Stadium will be used for fan seating. Doors are open to the public for general admission seating at 6:30 p.m. and Commencement begins at 7:30 p.m.
The graduation ceremony will feature speeches from the Student Body President, Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Senior Class President, and CSHS Principal Mr. Shawn Duhon. The ceremony will be live streamed on the district’s YouTube and Facebook accounts for those who cannot attend or do not feel comfortable attending.
Staff and students will follow social distancing protocols and be 6 ft. apart on the field and the stage. Masks were made optional when outside and social distanced at the April 5 Board Meeting, so masks will be optional for staff and students as long as they are appropriately social distanced, however they are recommended for attendees who are sitting closer than six feet from other attendees not in their family group.
In the event of rain, the ceremony will continue to be delayed 1 to 1.5 hours, but would start no later than 9:30 p.m. If it is determined that proceeding with the ceremony is not safe, it will be delayed to Saturday at the following time options:
Concessions will not be offered during the ceremony, but SASO will be on site selling water, which will benefit Project Graduation. Parking is available for guests on both the home and visitor side of Dragon Stadium.
