Snake Encounters
July 6 at 2 p.m.

This highly entertaining snake show is funny and educational. All ages. No registration required.

Magic Balloon Show
July 8 at 11 a.m.

Robb has a unique way of entertaining and educating your children at the same time – through magic, storytelling and lots of humor. All ages. No registration required.

End of Summer Preschool Play Date
July 9 at 10 a.m.
Library

Calling all preschoolers, join us for this fun playdate with toys and friends! Best for ages 5 and under. No registration required.

Garden Rock Painting Workshop
July 13 at 12 p.m. & 2 p.m.
Town Hall 3rd Floor

Come and be a part of the current craze! Paint a beautiful pattern design on a smooth river stone and keep it for yourself or leave it someplace for someone to find. Best for ages 6 and up. 25 kids per workshop.

Weaving Under the Sea Workshop
July 15 at 11 a.m. & 1 p.m.
Town Hall 3rd Floor

No, this is not underwater basket weaving! You choose an undersea creature and learn to weave it into an undersea work of art. Best for ages 6 and up. 25 kids per workshop. Registration opens June 28 at 10 a.m.

Mini-Coding Workshop
July 14th at 11 a.m.
Town Hall 3rd Floor

Join us as iCode Southlake walks us through coding with hands-on learning using Scratch, Mindstorm Robots and Hello World. Best for ages 8 and up. 25 kids.

Heart with a Hug Watercolor Workshop
July 20 at 12 p.m. & 2 p.m.
Town Hall 3rd Floor

Picture a beautiful painting of a heart being embraced by two arms into a wonderful hug. This would make a wonderful gift for someone special or a special gift to yourself. Best for ages 6 and up. 25 kids per workshop.

Adult & Teen Acrylic Art Workshop: Plants!
July 15 at 4 p.m.
Town Hall 3rd Floor Room A & B

Paint your own beautiful plant artwork on canvas with acrylic paints!  All supplies provided and no experience necessary.  Limited availability and registration required. Ages 13 and up.  Registration opens July 7 at 10 a.m.

ACT or SAT Practice Tests
July 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

High School students are invited to practice their test-taking skills through this free offering from Princeton Review. A test counselor can virtually meet with students following the exam results to discuss their performance and get tips.

July 6 – Musical Instrument Kit – Make your own instrument fun with this kit! While supplies last.

July 12 – Youth & Adult Paint-by-Numbers Kits – We’re bringing back our popular I Believe in Southlake art and had it re-colored for a new experience.

Southlake Youth Art Show
July 10- July 24

Are you a young artist between 8-18 years old that would like to show your best piece of art? If so, bring it to the Southlake Library for our whole community to see!  Art Show Guidelines, one entry per person, flat art up to 9×12 and 3D art up to a 12x12x12. All entries must be clearly marked with name, age & contact information. Art intake July 6-17!
