MADD Presents Officer Lockwood with Enforcement Award

MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) North Texas presented Officer Breanna “Nikki” Lockwood with the Enforcement Hero Award earlier this year.  The award is presented to officers who “exemplified a strong commitment to DWI enforcement with the most arrests in their department in 2020.”  The ceremony was held over Zoom earlier this month.

Officer Lockwood joined the Southlake Police Department in 2017, and has since been extremely proactive with DWI enforcement.  She continuously searches for DWI drivers while on her patrol shift, and assists other officers when they are investigating DWIs.

Officer Lockwood is ARIDE (Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement) certified and has expressed interest in becoming a DRE (Drug Recognition Expert) as well as an SFST Instructor to pass on her skills and passion to current and future police officers.

She has seen the horror and the loss that DWI drivers can inflict on innocent people, and wants to prevent this at all costs so no one has to suffer with a person’s bad choices.

“I am honored to have received this award will continue to work my hardest to keep the streets of Southlake safe and free of impaired drivers,” Officer Lockwood said.
