Carroll Pink Out Game to be Held October 8

The 13th annual Dragon Pink Out Game will be held on Friday, October 8, when the Carroll Dragons take on Keller Central at 7 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. Pink Out is an event that was started by former CISD student Amy Moan, and continues today as a favorite tradition in Carroll ISD. Pink Out in Carroll ISD is focused on honoring our breast cancer survivors and raising funds and awareness to fight breast cancer.

Prior to kickoff at the Pink Out Game, there will be an on-field recognition for breast cancer survivors. Survivors from all branches of the Dragon community are invited to attend and be recognized on the field. If you are a breast cancer survivor interested in participating, please fill out this form. Survivors who are participating in the pregame celebration will also receive a free parking pass for the evening at Dragon Stadium, as well as free admission to the game.

Just like previous years, student groups will be incorporating pink items into their uniforms, and fans are encouraged to wear pink as well!

Carroll ISD will raise money during Pink Out month by offering employees the chance to wear jeans with pink shirts every Thursday during the month of October. The funds raised from Dragon employees at all campuses and offices will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the largest breast cancer organization in the united States. Additionally, a “Pass-the-Bucket” donation will be taken at the October 8 Pink Out game to even further the Susan G. Komen donation on behalf of CISD. Dragon Stadium sponsor Berkey’s will be matching a donation equal to what Carroll raises during the pass the bucket initiative.
