New Assistant Principal Named at Durham Intermediate School

Brian Micocci is the newest administrator at Durham Intermediate School, and started his new role as Assistant Principal on August 31. Micocci joins the staff at Durham Intermediate from Birdville High School, where he has been serving as an English teacher and football and baseball coach since 2013.

“It is with great pride and excitement that I become an Assistant Principal of Durham Intermediate School,” said Micocci. “I look forward to developing strong, lasting relationships with students, staff and parents, while fostering the core values and traditions of Carroll ISD.”

During his time in Birdville ISD he served as the English 3 Curriculum Writing Campus Representative, was a member of the ACT/SAT campus committee, served as a campus representative for the RTI Behavioral Committee, and participated in the 2018-2019 Birdville ISD LEAP Program (Leadership Excellence for Aspiring Principals). Prior to his time in Birdville ISD, Micocci worked as a teacher and coach in Keller ISD from 2006-2013, as well as a teacher and coach in Carrolton-Farmer’s Branch ISD from 2005-2006.

Durham Intermediate Principal Mike Wyrick is excited to have Micocci join the team. “In the few days he has been here, Brian has already been an incredible addition to our team at Durham Intermediate,” said Wyrick. “His love for students and learning, and ability to connect with staff and families is going to be an awesome asset to our campus culture. We are looking forward to having him on board.”
