Upcoming Ramp Closure and Tree Removal for SH 114 Frontage Road Project

If you’re a frequent traveler on SH 114, you will notice an increase of road construction taking place over the next few weeks starting Sunday, January 16.

TxDOT will be conducting tree removal necessary for the construction of the new SH 114 Frontage Road near the TD Ameritrade and Verizon campuses. Also during this time, contractors will be working on the frontage road ramps along the eastbound of SH 114 Frontage Road, Solana Boulevard and Kirkwood Boulevard exit ramp.

LANE CLOSURE MAP

Traffic operations for ramp closure and detour set up will begin Sunday, January 16 at 8 p.m. and will run overnight into Monday, January 17, weather permitting.

The ramp will remain closed, and the detour will remain in place until June 2022.

TREE REMOVAL MAP

The tree removal is set to take place near Verizon and TD Ameritrade starting the week of January 17. Once the SH 114 Frontage Road project is complete in this area, new trees will be planted.

Due to heavy construction and the tree removal taking place, we ask motorists to proceed with caution when traveling through the area.
