Winter Weather Alert: City Closures and Cancelations for February 4

Due to inclement weather, all City offices, including The Marq Champions Club and Legends Hall, the Senior Activity Center, the Southlake Public Library, the Bob Jones Nature Center, and the Tennis Center, will be closed Friday, February 4, 2022. Emergency services are not affected by the closures.

We encourage residents to use the City’s e-services to access additional information and quick links. If you have questions, call us at (817) 748-8400 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The City’s Building Inspection Division will not schedule or conduct any on-site inspections, but virtual water heater replacement and HVAC inspections will still be available. Canceled or Postponed Programs and Events

  • Recreation and athletic programs, February 4
  • Southlake Spring Festival and Lantern Walk, February 5, postponed to February 12.

Road Treatment /Mobility

The City has begun treating its key areas with snow removal and sanding. Please make sure to give our crews and contractors plenty of room, and continue to use caution in these areas as road conditions may change.

If you must travel, please check road conditions on the Southlake Mobility Facebook page, local media outlets, and the Texas Department of Transportation’s Drive Texas website.

Trash and Recycling

Republic Services will suspend collection services for Friday, February 4. Republic will resume residential and commercial trash and recycling pickup on the next scheduled collection day. For residential collection, Thursday, February 3 trash collection will be picked up on Monday, February 7, and Thursday, February 3 recycling collection will be picked up on Thursday, February 10. Friday’s residential trash collection, February 4, will be picked up on Tuesday, February 8, and the recycling collection will be Friday, February 11. To accommodate higher trash volume, Republic will assign additional crews to work on Monday, February 7, and Tuesday, February 8.

We will communicate any updates from Republic on changes to the schedule through social media, www.ProtectSouthlake.com, and MySouthlakeNews.com.
