Southlake is expanding its recycling service with the Community Cardboard Collection Dumpsters (C3).
Residents can now recycle cardboard and paper products ONLY in the C3 dumpsters located at Bicentennial Park. The front of the dumpsters is equipped with slits for easy disposal of broken-down boxes and paper products. Residents will have 24/7 access to these dumpsters in a safe, monitored location.
“The Community Cardboard Collection Dumpsters was the result of listening to our residents. We had many residents request a better way to recycle cardboard boxes and paper products because they either could not fit it all in their current bins or did not want to worry about calling for a pickup,” said Lauren LaNeave, Deputy Director of Public Works. “I am proud of the work our team did to expand our recycling services and provide C3 for our residents.”
The C3 Dumpsters were funded by a grant obtained by the City through the North Central Texas Council Governments (NCTCOG).
They are located on the east side of Bicentennial Park between the tennis courts and the operations building of the community services department, or at 200 Unity Way Southlake, Texas 76092.
