Trash and Recycling Rate Increases Now in Effect

Garbage and recycling rate changes went into effect on October 1, 2022, for all Southlake Water Utilities customers. As a result, residents will notice an increase in their November billing statements.

Residential

The new refuse rates—reflected on Southlake Water Utility bills for residential customers, will increase by 9.5%. City Council also approved Republic Services’ request for an increase due to growing labor costs and inflation at their September 20, 2022, meeting.

Residential collections increased by $1.62 on October 1, 2022, to $18.68, pretax.

Commercial

Commercial collections and roll-off rates will also increase by 9.5% on October 1. The updated commercial rate sheet is available on the Commercial Trash and Recycling webpage.
