Mothers Against Drunk Driving & Southlake Police Department Celebrates Officer Emiliano Tejada

On March 17, 2023, Officer Emiliano Tejada received the 2023 Outstanding Service Award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving, also known as MADD. CID Sergeant Delaney Green nominated Officer Tejada.

“I had the honor and pleasure of working with Ofc. Tejada on night shift patrol. His work ethic and dedication to DWI enforcement is second to none. Officer Tejada currently holds just under 50% of all DWI-related arrests for the department in 2022, completing a total of sixty-four arrests for the year,” according to Sgt. Green.

Officer Tejada’s accomplishments include the creation of a DWI template report that outlines all necessary information to assist Officers with the lengthy DWI process. He initiates riding two-man on shift when staffing permits and he helps Officers excel in locating, investigating, and prosecuting DWI-related offenses.

“Not to mention, Officer Tejada is bilingual and frequently assists outside agencies with translation during DWI investigations. This has been a great asset not only to Southlake but to our neighboring cities. His continuous dedication to DWI enforcement goes above and beyond in all aspects,” noted Sgt. Green.

Join the Southlake Police Department in congratulating Officer Emiliano Tejada for receiving this auspicious achievement.
