Participate in Exciting Programs this Winter at the Southlake Public Library!

This week on Minute with the Mayor, Mayor John Huffman takes a stroll through the Southlake Public Library to chat with Marketing and Digital Services Coordinator Andrew Burnett and Youth Librarian Stacy Wells about exciting programs coming up at the library.

The Southlake Public Library offers much more than just the books on the shelf! With an exciting rotation of events, programs, and resources – the library is constantly innovating new ways to engage the community.

“One of the coolest programs we have going on right now is Funopoly,” Andrew Burnett said. “Funopoly is a game for kids ages 5-14 and awards prizes for exploring different books and reading. Come get a custom Funopoly board and start playing now, but hurry! It will be ending on January 8th.”

Other upcoming events include a story, a singalong, and a meet and greet with Mrs. Claus on December 22nd at 9:00 a.m. and again at 10:00 a.m., and the “Window to the Wild Bird Show” on January 3rd at 2:00 p.m., featuring guest appearances from some of our feathered friends.

Stop by the Southlake Public Library to join in on the fun, and check out the library’s website for more information on upcoming events.
