Chief Brandon Promotes Officers, Corporals, and Sergeants to New Ranks

The Southlake Police Department held a ceremony on Thursday, September 8th to promote officers to the ranks of Corporal, Sergeant, and Captain.

Chief Brandon opened the ceremony by thanking the families of the officers, highlighting that policing is a tough job, and he acknowledged that officers could not do this job without them.

SRO Sergeant Preston Logan was promoted to the rank of Captain.  He will oversee the SRO program.

  • Corporal Joshua Ellis was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Corporal Blas Hernandez was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Corporal William Thomas was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Officer Taylor Mueller was promoted to the rank of Corporal.
  • Officer Joshua Valdez was promoted to the rank of Corporal.
  • Officer Sheldon Barrett was promoted to the rank of Corporal.

Chief Brandon also stated that he was proud of the direction the department was moving in, with the recent promotions.  Congratulations to these officers as they take on their new supervisory roles.
