The 2021 General and Special Election will occur on the May 1, 2021 Election Date.
A General Election was ordered by City Council on January 19, 2021 by Resolution No. 21-001, for Saturday, May 1, 2021 to be held jointly with the Carroll Independent School District for the purpose of electing the Southlake City Council Mayor and Place 2, each such term being for a period of three (3) years. The filing period for the General Election began on January 13, 2021, and will end on February 12, 2021, at 5 p.m., in accordance with State Law.
Additionally, a Special Election was ordered by the same resolution to be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 to be held jointly with the Carroll Independent School District for the purpose of electing the Southlake City Council Place 5, to fill a vacancy, for the unexpired term ending in May 2022. The filing period for the Special Election began on January 20, 2021, and will end on March 1, 2021, at 5 p.m., in accordance with State Law.
Election filings will be received by the City Secretary during regular business hours and links to election forms and information on individuals who have filed to run in the election will be available on the City’s website.
Early voting by personal appearance will occur from Monday, April 19, 2021, to Tuesday, April 27, 2021, with election day being on May 1, 2021. The final day to register to vote in the May 1 election is Thursday, April 1, 2021
