The City of Southlake celebrated Employee Appreciation Week last month and Community Services employee, Crystal Maddalena, was the recipient of the Accountability Award.
Serving as the Banquet Specialist for Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake, Crystal is committed to excellence in every event she coordinates and ensures each client has the best experience. During COVID-19, Crystal stepped up to ensure the day-to-day operations of Legends Hall were complete and that no event suffered, even with a smaller staff than usual.
Embodying accountability and a passion for customer service, Crystal worked every weekend in October to guarantee that weddings rescheduled from the summer due to the pandemic could go on without a hitch. She wanted to ensure her clients could find peace-of-mind and not be nervous during their big day with everything else they had on their plate.
Thanks to her unwavering efforts, Crystal received numerous positive reviews on NPS surveys and Wedding Wire. One Legends Hall bride stated that “Crystal was quick to respond to any questions we had ahead of time and very accommodating to meeting requests. They set everything up for us and even helped us find our amazing caterer! It’s a great value and a beautiful setting.”
Apart from her world-class customer service, Crystal understands the importance of fiscal responsibility and ensuring that overall cost recovery is met. Going above and beyond, she sacrificed nights and weekends to work events that would normally be covered by hourly employees. When things do not go as planned, she manages expectations and prepares clients with no-extra-cost alternatives without missing a beat.
Crystal’s execution, attention to detail, and kindness to clients is evident at every event she coordinates. She is an asset to the team and is a vast reason why Legends Hall has so many returning clients and referrals.
