Recently, PNC held its official grand opening and ribbon cutting for its new Southlake branch. As patrons walk through the new location they will be met by beautiful art created by art students at Carroll Senior High School. Five talented Dragons were asked to produce artwork that will remain on display at PNC.
Seniors Zara Hasnani, Luke Cadena and Sachi Kishinchandani, along with juniors Bella Hansen and Sierra Minotti were joined at the grand opening by members of the PNC leadership, Superintendent Dr. David Faltys and Southlake Mayor Laura Hill to assist with the ribbon cutting and talk about their artwork.
The original artwork was created in the Fall of 2019 to coincide with the opening of the PNC Bank in Southlake.
Hasnani’s piece entitled “Blue and Orange Crowd” was inspired by the importance of diversity and inclusion within PNC and the Southlake community. The colors she chose represent patience, enthusiasm, and intellect.
Hasnani is excited for customers of PNC to be able to experience her artwork on a daily basis.
“Having my work displayed at the PNC bank and attending the opening of the bank has been a surreal experience,” Hasnani said. “For all of us artists this has been our first real client so it’s been amazing to see our art being recognized and have people willing to buy it. Even though some of us may not be pursuing art after high school, it’s still exciting that our hard work is being appreciated and we are so honored that we had this opportunity to work with PNC.”
The new branch of PNC Bank is located at 1111 E. Southlake Blvd.
