Last weekend the TMEA Area Band auditions took place at Coppell High School and Carroll sophomore Diego Pena (bassoon) and junior Drew Keady (contrabassoon) were selected into the prestigious Texas Music Educators Association All-State Band.

Diego and Drew will join All-State Jazz Band members Chase Adams (junior trumpet, 3-time all-stater) and Tori Thomas (senior, tenor saxophone), as well as Grace Xu (junior, violin) as TMEA All-State members. These five students will represent Carroll ISD in San Antonio in February at the TMEA convention. Their clinics and rehearsals are February 12-14. Their week concludes with All-State concerts on Saturday, February 15.
