When motorcycle officers from across the country gathered recently for the Iron Horse Motor Shoot Out, hosted by the Texas Panhandle 100 Club and the Amarillo Police Department, Officer Brent Carlson delivered an impressive performance while sharpening the advanced riding skills that help us provide world-class service to our community.
Officer Carlson is also a certified Motor Instructor who trains and mentors motorcycle officers from agencies throughout the region, making his success a reflection of both his expertise as a rider and his commitment to developing the next generation of motor officers.
Officer Carlson earned the following awards:
• 1st Place – Metric Expert Speed Event
• 2nd Place – Police Challenge Ride
• 2nd Place – Mr. Rodeo (All-around Champion Police)
