FY 2021 Water Storage Tank Cleaning and Inspection Complete

Earlier this month, crews from Southlake Water Utilities cleaned and inspected each water storage tank within the City’s drinking water system. Earlier this month, crews from Southlake Water Utilities cleaned and inspected each water storage tank within the City’s drinking water system.

Tanks were drained and temporarily removed from service to be disinfected and pressure washed on the inside.

Once the cleanings were completed, water samples to test for water quality were taken before towers were refilled.

These measures are in place to ensure that the City continues to provide clean drinking water to our customers.

The annual cleaning is a part of the Water Utilities Maintenance Program, dedicated to improving Southlake’s drinking water systems by maintaining water and infrastructure needs that meet and exceed the Southlake standard.
