Southlake’s biggest summer event, Stars and Stripes, is back! The annual Independence Day celebration gathers the community in Town Square on July 3 to enjoy an evening of family fun and festivities. Starting at 5 p.m., Town Square will be filled with family-friendly activities, food trucks, live music and a highly anticipated fireworks show. This year’s grand finale will be extra special, with surprises you won’t want to miss, as we honor both Southlake’s 70th anniversary and America’s 250th.
The celebration will feature some returning favorites, like pickleball, free T-shirts and commemorative enamel pins, with a couple of surprises in store! This year’s pin is part of a special three-piece collection tied to each of the City’s featured events, together forming a unique keepsake to commemorate Southlake’s 70th anniversary.
Swing by the Kids’ Corner for arts and crafts, carnival games, temporary tattoos and plenty of bubbles. Once guests have worked up an appetite, they can visit one of the many food truck options to pick up a cold drink and a tasty snack. When a break from the heat is needed, guests can cool off at the Cooling Zone, sponsored by Cook Children’s. To help create an inclusive and welcoming experience for all attendees, a dedicated Sensory Room will also be available at the Hilton Town Square. Located in the Palmer Ballroom, this quiet, low-stimulation space is designed for guests who may need a break from crowds, noise, lights, heat or other event-related sensory input.
Throughout the evening, live music will play on both the Rustin Pavilion Stage and the Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park Stage, featuring performances by Southlake Community Band, Inspiration Band, North Texas Performing Arts and more. The entertainment will keep the energy high until the fireworks light up the sky and the celebration wraps up at 11 p.m.
