Drainage installation is nearing completion on N. White Chapel. Over the last few weeks, workers have been on site tying in several drainage sections preparing to apply lime and cement to the road for stabilization. Crews also installed drainage inlet protection in all storm junction boxes and inlets to collect water and filter through the drainage system. Earlier this week, crews finished relocating an existing waterline between Emerald Boulevard and San Saba Drive and removed steel plates to install an asphalt patch. All paving is expected to be completed within six to seven months, weather permitting. The N. White Chapel Widening Project is estimated to cost $17 million and is scheduled to be completed by spring 2022, weather permitting. For more N.
