Public Works will be hard at work in the coming weeks to make repairs and improvements to Southlake streets! Be sure to scan the OBAs below and plan some extra time ahead of your commute if you are impacted by any of the upcoming work. Upcoming Concrete Repairs Throughout the City Contractors will be busy in the upcoming month working on some concrete repairs at four different locations around town. Be on the lookout for workers at 280 Commerce Street in the eastern side of the city near the Quicktrip, at 1012 Alamo Drive in the Mission Hills Estates neighborhood, at the 1300 Block of North Kimball Avenue in the northeast border with Grapevine, and at 1121 South Carroll Avenue by the roundabout near Old Union Elementary. Traffic control will be on-site daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. as contractors work to make your ride a little smoother. This work will begin on December 13th and last until January 12th, 2024, weather permitting. Carillon Parc Turn Lane Installations Attention residents of Lake Carillon and Estes Park subdivisions! Beginning on Monday, December 11th, contractors will initiate concrete pouring for turn lanes off East Kirkwood Boulevard and Riveria Lane, facilitating access to the upcoming Carillon Parc development. Water Pipe Construction Along West Kirkwood Boulevard If you're cruising down West Kirkwood Boulevard east of 114, you might encounter some right lane closures. Tri Dal Utilities will be hard at work constructing a water pipe in this area, so please give these workers a brake and be sure to drive with caution. These closures will begin on December 11, 2023, and last through December 18, weather permitting.
In order to grant workers ample space for project completion, the inner left lane heading east on Kirkwood Boulevard and the southbound lane on Riveria Lane will be temporarily closed. Flaggers will be on-site to guide one-lane traffic on Riveria Lane and between Kirkwood Boulevard and Montecarlo Drive during this period.
This work will last until Tuesday, December 12th, weather permitting.
