The Southlake Mobility Team is on a mission to continue to provide a safe, efficient, and effective transportation system.

A few weeks ago, we announced intersection improvements along N. Carroll Avenue and Federal Way.

Improvements include median and pavement enhancements, updated signage, pavement markings, crosswalk improvements, and upgrades to pedestrian facilities.

The new upgrades will include transition ramps with a detectable warning surface, pedestrian push buttons, and pedestrian signal heads that work in conjunction to promote intersection safety and roadway striping that will facilitate crossing.

Right now, contractors are conducting alternating lane closures along northbound and southbound N. Carroll Avenue from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. until Friday, April 8, weather permitting. In addition, shoulder and median work will occur during this time.

Closures will impact traffic on N. Carroll Avenue between Division Street and Main Street, with at least one lane remaining open at all times.
