At Southlake, our vision, goals and objectives are taken into consideration when creating the Southlake Comprehensive Plan. According to the American Planning Association (APA), planning provides a vision for the community and today. The Southlake Comprehensive Plan is no different. The City utilizes the plan as way to prepare for the build out and growth of the Southlake community. “Planning for the future is a critical element of building a world class community,” Senior Director of Planning and Development Service Ken Baker said. “Our Comprehensive Plan serves as the foundation of envisioning the future of the Southlake community.” In order for the City to adequately address capital projects, programs, facilities and resource allocation, the Comprehensive Plan has been broken down into several masterplan elements: Each plan lists goals related to each topic, resources necessary to achieve the goal, as well as a strategy of how to address and implement each objective.
