The City of Southlake earned statewide recognition for its work in public communications, earning a finalist status and receiving an Award of Honor at the 2026 Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) TAMI Awards Banquet held on June 4 in Austin, Texas.
TAMIO is a statewide organization committed to supporting communications and public information professionals working in Texas municipal government. The organization focuses on professional development, fostering collaboration among cities, and celebrating achievements and excellent work in resident communication.
This year’s annual conference drew a record-breaking 711 entries, making recognition in any category a high achievement. Southlake received an Award of Honor in the Issue-Specific Website, Population Under 100,000 category for MySouthlakeNews.com, the City’s digital news platform.
In June 2025, the City redeveloped the MySouthlakeNews.com platform to make it mobile-friendly, visually engaging, and accessible, while centering content on the priorities identified by our residents. The redesign incorporated articles, photography, video storytelling, and social media to strengthen community engagement. The TAMI award reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to delivering meaningful communication to the Southlake community.
