The Citizen Satisfaction Survey Results Are In

We asked and you answered! The Citizen Satisfaction Survey Results are now available on the City of Southlake’s website.

In late 2019, residents were asked to provide their feedback on their quality of life in Southlake by participating in the Citizen Satisfaction Survey.

The survey, conducted by Decision Analyst Inc. is given every two years. It is a tool used to measure resident satisfaction with City services such as safety and security, mobility, infrastructure, quality development, partnerships and volunteerism.

The results and analysis provide the City with information on community issues and serves as a guideline on how the City will implement strategies to address residents’ concerns.

“The survey gives us a way to hear directly from Southlake residents about their quality of life and to understand their experience with our services,” Assistant City Manager Alison Ortowski said. “It also provides us a way to identify and prioritize unmet needs and track internal performance.”

The survey is also used for future planning and development projects, budgeting and City policies.

More than 1,080 residents participated in the online survey, which was open from October 1, 2019, to October 30, 2019.

“We are thankful to all who took the time to let us know how we are performing,” Ortowski said, “The feedback helps City Council plan and make better strategic decisions for the future of Southlake.”

Citizen Satisfaction Survey 2019 is LIVE – Opinions Wanted!

The City of Southlake’s Citizen Satisfaction Survey has been LIVE now for about two weeks and we need your feedback to help identify areas for improvement.

The biennial survey is used as a tool to measure resident satisfaction with City services discussing the following six topics: Safety and security, mobility, infrastructure, quality development, partnerships and volunteerism.

Feedback will allow City staff to address key community issues and implement changes to the strategic plan for upcoming projects.

The survey is about 15 minutes long and will remain open until October 28, 2019. Residents are able to take the survey online via desktop, tablet or mobile device. To take the survey, click here. To learn more about the survey, please visit our website.

The results of the 2019 Citizen Satisfaction Survey will be shared in early 2020.

It’s a Citizen Satisfaction Survey Year and We Want Your Feedback!

The City of Southlake conducts a Citizen Satisfaction Survey every two years to gather information from residents about their quality of life in Southlake, the City’s customer service and other key community issues. This October, we’d like to hear your feedback when we launch the 2019 Citizen Satisfaction Survey.

Survey results are an important and integral part of the City’s work planning. The results are used to guide the City’s work and resource allocation.

Tell me how.

Mobility has long been a concern for residents and thanks to the Citizen Satisfaction Survey the City was able to gain useful insight on specific areas of concern. One way in which the City took the survey results and responded was to create more open lines of communication. The Southlake Mobility Facebook page and the Connect Southlake webpages were created to help provide more information on all mobility projects in the City. A traffic management division was also created to bring a traffic engineer to the City.

Another large City project that came as a result of responses from the Citizen Survey is The Marq Southlake. Residents asked for a community center and the City found a way to build one. The final phase of The Marq, Champions Club opened last spring a few years after the opening of Legends Hall.

I want in.

The 2019 Citizen Survey will be live on October 1. We’ll share the link and you can take it at home or on the go. The short form takes about 10 minutes with a longer form taking about 15 minutes. Curious about the last survey’s results? Check them out on the City’s website here.
