The Southlake Senior Activity Center is hosting several amazing upcoming activities that you just can’t miss!
For starters, if you’ve been having trouble upgrading your computer to Windows 10, now’s your chance to learn all about it and get answers to any questions you have during the Technology Seminar on Friday 08/26! Focusing on “Getting Started with Windows 10” you will learn everything you need to know about the software transition!
Looking for an evening of food and fun? Bingo! Look no further than the Senior Activity Center’s Potluck Bingo Night! Bring a dish, bring a friend, and play some bingo while enjoying a plethora of food, happening Tuesday 08/30.
Finally, if you want top shelf entertainment, join in the Top Golf trip on 09/02! That’s right! The Senior Activity Center is taking a group trip to the premier golf entertainment complex in the area and you’re invited. The trip will also include a stop by Rock and Brews Restaurant, to enjoy some quality American comfort food.

Calling all adults! If you’ve been itching to play some football, or take a swing at a softball, now is your chance.
Southlake Parks and Recreation is offering sports programming this fall and you’re invited to join in the fun!
Adult Co-ed Softball is a great way to play the game with your friends, family, and co-workers. Register a team and be a part of the recreational league. Men’s Over 35 Softball is another option to get you out on the diamond together with your hand picked team, it’s sure to be a home-run.
Flag Football is also available in the co-ed and men’s only varieties. Register your team with up to 20 players, a six game season, leading up to the playoffs, get ready to score some touchdowns!

Calling all seniors (55+)! Dance your way to the monthly Senior Dance on August 18th hosted by The Southlake Senior Activity Center.
Tommy Chandler will be providing the music for the night’s festivities and with a set list including tunes of the Ballroom, Western, Line-dance, and Latin variety, there is something for everyone to show off their moves to.
Cost for the evening is $6.00, and a dance host is available for unescorted ladies. Light refreshments will be provided and business casual attire is requested (no shorts please).

Join us Thursday, July 14 for the next Movie at The Marq as we watch Norm of The North on our brand new 17 ft. LED movie screen!
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, grab your family and friends and join in the fun! The party starts at 6:00 p.m. with complimentary inflatables, crafts and popcorn. Don’t forget to check out the food trucks too. The movie starts at 7:30 p.m. and remember, tents and tarps are not permitted.

In just a few short days, the City of Southlake will be hosting an Open House at The Marq Southlake. Years in the making, The Marq Southlake is the brand new premier activity and event venue in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
From 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, residents of the Southlake community will have their first opportunity to come and check out the new event center. While enjoying light refreshments and the music of The Southlake Community Band, guests will get their first look at Legends Hall, Traditions Ballroom, the Legacy Meeting Rooms and the Club Lounge. The City welcomes guests of all ages to visit and enjoy this new premier facility.

It’s not all bingo and bridge at the Southlake Senior Activity Center! Many members are staying active by participating in movement and fitness classes on a regular basis.
The Southlake Senior Activity Center has just released a new video highlighting participation of some of the fitness classes offered over the past year. The video features testimonials from members and visitors.
The Southlake Senior Activity Center will be relocating to The Marq Southlake with a Grand Opening on Monday, December 14 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The new Senior Activity Center will continue to offer current fitness classes as well as new opportunities for those who are 55 and better to stay active beginning in the new year.
