5K’s take over Bicentennial Park in April

The spring season is always a great time for our residents to get out and visit the beautiful parks and facilities offered by the City of Southlake. But spring is also a great time for events and activites to take place at our parks. With our residents and regular park visitors in mind, the Southlake Community Services Department wanted to make sure you were aware of park usage during the season.

In the near future, there will be several 5k races and runs that will be taking place in Bicentennial Park. The Superhero 5k is on Saturday, April 2, the Altrusa 5k is on Saturday, April 16, and the Rescue 5k is on Saturday, April 30. For all three of these Saturdays, park visitors can expect parking to be bad from around 7:30 AM to noon. The Community Services Department recommends that unless you’re attending one of these events, that you visit the park at another time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

For more information on these and other events, visit SouthlakeParksandRec.com or call us at 817-748-8019.
