Local residents and beer lovers who want to sip a cold one that was born right here in Northeast Tarrant County can now rejoice, and raise a glass, at Wildwood Grill in Southlake. The popular restaurant and lounge is hosting a launch party and tasting event December 4 at 5:00 p.m. for Grapevine Craft Brewery, which debuted its first craft beer November 27. There will be flight tastings, pints and Texas tall drafts available of Lakefire, a spicy rye pale ale, which is the first of four signature beers that Grapevine Craft Brewery will produce. Wildwood Grill is offering an expanded burger selection to accompany the distinctive brew.
“We are wild about great food and Texas beer at Wildwood, so this is the perfect combination,” says Dave Garner, co-owner of Wildwood Grill. “As an independent restaurant, we are very excited to support this local brewery and to be the first restaurant in the area to pour its craft beers.”
The only microbrewery located between Dallas and Fort Worth, Grapevine Craft Brewery is a welcome addition to the local dining scene and many wineries in Grapevine. Currently brewed in a production facility in Farmers Branch, construction is underway on an 8,100 square foot building in historic Grapevine that will house a tasting room, outdoor patio, and 30-barrel brewhouse. Grapevine Craft Brewery founder and CEO, Gary Humble, along with his two brew masters, will be on hand during the December 4 event to explain the brewing process and answer questions.
“We have been working on making Grapevine Craft Brewery a reality for more than a year. And as we launch our brewery, we are excited that one of the very first accounts to serve Lakefire Rye Pale Ale is Wildwood Grill,” states Humble.
