Around the Horn: Lady Dragon Softball Team Hosts Tournament

The Carroll Lady Dragon softball hosted the Southlake Carroll Tournament last week at Bob Jones Park.

The Lady Dragons played six games and went 5-1 and included victories against College Station, Prosper, Lake Dallas, Mansfield Timberview and Carrollton Creekview. The Lady Dragons fell in their final game 2-1 vs. Hallsville.

Carroll, which is 8-4 overall, returns to action Thursday in the Prosper Tournament at 10:15 a.m. vs. Irving Nimitz and at 8:30 p.m. vs. Dallas Sunset. Follow the Lady Dragons on Gamechanger.

Dragon Baseball Opens Season in Round Rock
The Dragon baseball team went 3-2 last weekend at the Round Rock Tournament to open their season. Carroll started 3-0 with victories against Leander, Round Rock and Cedar Ridge. The Dragons dropped their final two games by 2-1 scores vs. Austin Anderson and Stoney Point.

Carroll returns to action Thursday at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie vs. Plano at 11 a.m. and Conroe Oak Ridge at 1:30 p.m. Follow Carroll baseball on Gamechanger.
