Carroll Dragon senior quarterback Ryan Agnew has chosen his college destination. Agnew has given a verbal commitment to San Diego State.
Agnew was a two-year starter for the Dragons and was named District 7-6A MVP this year. He led the Dragons to the Class 6A Division II Region I final this season. Agnew is a dual-threat quarterback.
Agnew career statistics included 6,836 yards passing and 57 TDs and 2,286 yards rushing and 37 TDs.
Earlier in the fall, Carroll all-district safety Andy Chelf committed to Purdue and all-district defensive lineman King Newton has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio. All-district center Grant Stewart has committed to Colorado School of Mines.
Verbal commitments are non-binding and the first day recruits can sign a National Letter of Intent is Wednesday, Feb. 4.
