The Carroll Dragons rolled up 650 yards of offense in a 63-28 homecoming rout of the previously-undefeated Abilene Eagles.

In its final tuneup before District 7-6A play begins, Carroll’s offense was unstoppable. Running back Lil’ Jordan Humphrey scored four touchdowns and had 19 carries for 125 yards. Quarterback Ryan Agnew was 15-for-20 for 251 yards and rushed for 68 yards and one TD.

Carroll, ranked No. 3 in the state by the Associated Press, hosts rival Coppell at 7:30 p.m. Friday on Green Out Night.

Backup quarterback Montana Murphy rushed for two TDs and 29 yards. Receiver Zach Farrar was the biggest playmaker among the receivers with six catches for 174 yards including a 57-yard touchdown catch from Murphy.

The Dragons battled back and fourth with Abilene in the first half and the game was tied at 21 in the second quarter. But the Dragon defense adjusted and minimized Abilene’s big plays and was boosted by its offense rolling up points. Carroll scored 42 consecutive points over three quarters.
