Dragon Golf Teams Earn Top 3 Finishes

GolfBallThe Carroll Dragon golf teams competed in the Texarkana Classic last Friday and Saturday. The Dragons took two teams to Texarkana Country Club and brought home two of the top three spots. The boys played extra holes to decide the winner, but the Dragons came up one shot short on the first playoff hole.

Boys' Golf Qualifies Two Teams for 5A State

DragonStateGolfLUBBOCK – The Carroll Dragon boys’ golf teams dominated the leaderboard at the Class 5A Region I tournament in Lubbock earlier this week. The Dragon teams earned the top two spots and are headed to the Class 5A state tournament in Austin on April 28-May 1. “Green” won the Region I title and “Black” finished 12 strokes behind.

Carroll Golf Teams In Full Swing

The Carroll Dragon golf teams have been in full swing recently. 

The Lady Dragons competed in the North Texas Fall Interscholastic tournament last weekend and finished fourth. The team was by sophomore Ellie Youree, who posted an individual top five-finish with rounds of 75 and 72.

The Dragons brought home hardware winning first place at the McKinney Boyd Invitational. The Dragons were led by sophomore Colin Kober, who fired rounds of 76 and 69.
