Carroll Soccer Playoff Doubleheader Thursday

Both Carroll soccer teams will be in action Thursday at Fort Worth Nolan Catholic in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs.

The Lady Dragons open the night with a 6 p.m. matchup against South Grand Prairie. The Lady Dragons are coming off an undefeated District 7-6A run and finished the regular season with an 11-0 victory against L.D. Bell. Carroll is led by Ally Griffin, who has 46 goals this season. Allie Luna leads the Lady Dragons in assists with 28.

The Lady Dragons are 22-1.

The Dragons enter the playoffs on a hot streak with five consecutive victories and face Midlothian at 8 p.m. Thursday at Nolan. The Dragons finished the regular season before spring break with a 4-1 victory against L.D. Bell. Carroll is led by Calvin Herd’s 19 goals and Michael Kays with eight assists.

The Dragons are 15-4-4.
