Lady Dragons Fall to Coppell in Region Final

MIDLAND – The Carroll Lady Dragons ended the season as Class 6A Region I finalists after falling to Coppell last Saturday.

Coppell defeated the Lady Dragons 3-0 at Midland’s Grande Communications Stadium and earned a berth in the 6A state tournament. It was the third meeting this season between the District 7-6A mates. Coppell went 2-0-1 in those matchups.

Carroll finished the successful season 23-3-2. The Lady Dragons defeated Lubbock Monterey 3-0 in the Region I semifinal. The Lady Dragons were led in scoring this season by Grace Cory with 19 goals. Allie Luna and Danielle Dennis had 16 goals apiece. Cory also led the team with 18 assists.
