Chinese Class Students Earn High Honors

Carroll Chinese class student Neha Jain won first place and Drew Korschun won second in the South U.S. Regional Chinese Bridge Competition. It was held at the Chinese Consulate in Houston last Sunday. Students in the competition represented eight different states. Competitors made a two-minute speech on the topic “My China Dream” – and answered one random cultural question, and performed a three-minute Chinese culture talent act. First-place winner represent the U.S. in the World Chinese Bridge Competition in Beijing this fall. The second-place finisher has the opportunity to compete/observe in the World Chinese Bridge Competition in Beijing.
