The City of Southlake Senior Activity Center Travels to the Texas Civil War Museum on July 16th

Texas Civil War MuseumTravel back to the mid-1800s as the Southlake Senior Activity Center takes in the Texas Civil War Museum on Wednesday July 16, 2014.

The museum opened in 2006 and boasts the largest Civil War collection this side of the Mississippi. The museum consists of three separate galleries that display a civil war collection, a Victorian dress collection, and a United Daughters of the Confederacy Texas Confederate collection. Participants will also enjoy a movie called “Our Homes Our Rights” – Texas in the Civil War.

The Southlake Senior Activity Center bus will depart from the Senior Center on Thursday, July 16, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. and will return at 4:00 p.m.  Please note that the arrival and return times are subject to change.

The transportation cost for this event is $3.00 and the admission to the museum is $6.00. Pease bring money if you would like to purchase something from the gift shop.
