SGSA To Host Softball Camp

The Southlake Girls Softball Association (SGSA) hosting a softball camp August 19-21 for girls entering kindergarten through eighth grade. The camp will be conducted by highly recognized select and professional coaches, along with current and former members of the Carroll Dragons softball team.

All facets of the game are covered at the camp – throwing, hitting, fielding, base running, team play and more. The camp will feature break out clinics for pitchers and catchers led by professional instructors. The goal is to improve the overall performance of each player, along with self-confidence to take what they learn and apply to game time situations.

All camp participants will receive a free swag bag with fun goodies. This will be a great opportunity to get ready for the fall season! We look forward to seeing everyone at the camp.

  • When: August 19th (Monday) to August 21st (Wednesday)
  • Time: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
  • Location: Bob Jones complex, Southlake TX
  • Fee: $50 per camper

Get ready for Winter Cheer Fun

The CHS and CSHS Cheerleaders will be having their annual winter cheer clinic for grades K-6 on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Pre-registration cost for the clinic is $45. Forms can be found at

Participants will get to work on tumbling, stunting, jumping, cheering, and dancing with the cheerleaders. Organizers say it’s a great way to spend the morning and parents can enjoy the show-off at noon.

Emerald Belles Host Workshop, Clinic

The award-winning Southlake Carroll Emerald Belle Drill Team will host their annual Junior Belle Dance Clinic for girls Grades K-4th and Dance Workshop for Grades 5th-8th.

Both clinics are scheduled for Saturday, October 6th, 1-5:00p.m. at Carroll Senior High School located at 1501 W. Southlake Blvd. Check-in and registration begins at 12:30 p.m. Guests must enter thru side doors off Peytonville. Click here to view the official flyer.

Clinic participants will learn a dance to be performed during pre-game activities at the Freshman football game on Thursday, Oct. 18 at Dragon Stadium. Workshop participants will receive instruction from Emerald Belle Director Melissa Page and Co-Captains Aimee Low and Lacey Munoz in the areas of technique, choreography and drill team fundamentals. Their original dance will be performed with the Emerald Belle Officers before the Varsity football game on Friday, Oct. 19 at Dragon Stadium.
