Southlake Students Received Constituting America Proclamation

Southlake Students were honored at Tuesday’s City Council meeting for their outstanding achievements through music to promote our country’s founding principles and U.S. Constitution.

Gabriella Tommasi, Joshua Landgraf and Taylor Landgraf were inspired to enter the Constitution America’s, “We The Future” contest and won! The purpose of the contest is to promote the three branches of government and checks and balances. Tommasi won for her song, “The Constitution is the Right Solution” and Joshua and Taylor Landgraf won for their submission, “Constitutional”.

The students were honored at Tuesday’s City Council meeting and were presented with a Constituting America Proclamation by Mayor Laura Hill.

  Constituting  America  educates,  engages,  and  empowers America’s rising    generation    through    their    three   cornerstone   programs: interactive   educational   presentations   to   students   of   all   ages, nationwide  scholarship  contests, and 90-day annual online studies; and,

Whereas, Actress Janine Turner, founder & co-president of Constituting America, spoke at Eubanks Intermediate School in honor of Constitution Day 2017, and Gabriella Tommasi, Joshua Landgraf and Taylor Landgraf were inspired to enter Constituting America’s “We The Future” Contest and won; and,

Whereas, we commend Gabriella Tommasi for her winning song “The Constitution is the Right Solution,” and Joshua and Taylor Landgraf for their winning song “Constitutional”; now,

Therefore, I, Mayor Laura Hill, on behalf of the City Council, do hereby recognize Gabriella, Joshua and Taylor for their outstanding achievements through music to promote our country’s founding principles and U.S. Constitution.
