Construction Brief – S. Carroll Avenue Widening Project Begins

City of Southlake road crews began placing  signs and barricades in preparation of construction of a new third lane on South  Carroll Avenue between Southlake Blvd and Lakes of La Paloma Court.

The third lane will improve the level of service traffic conditions by creating a two way center left turn lane along this section of S. Carroll Avenue.  Upon completion of the new third lane, northbound traffic entering (turning westbound) into the new Winding Creek Addition will not impede the northbound traffic on S. Carroll Ave.

Drivers who use these streets are requested to use extra caution as trucks and equipment will be entering and exiting the project area.  Flaggers will be present during work hours and delays can be expected during the hours of construction – 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).

Two lanes of traffic on S. Carroll Avenue will be provided with the exception of minor delays.  Motorists who are able to use alternative routes are recommended to do so.

The project is funded through Roadway Impact Fees paid to the city by the developer of the Winding Creek Development.  The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
